Summer sewing camps 2021 season open!
Kids and teens explore hand stitching and sewing machine confidence-building life skills during summer sewing camps.
Sewing camp gives campers ages 8-16 the opportunity to continue to practice basic sewing skills while sewing clothing, zipper pouches, quilting, and crafts. Each camp session runs for one week in June and July for two hours in the morning. Campers need to have completed the beginning sewing class or pass Celia’s Craft Room sewing test. Sewing machines, equipment, and patterns will be provided. View details and registration here.
Students are given basic patterns and free make it their own with ribbons, buttons, and other embellishments available in Celia’s Craft Room. Each month has three different fun customized projects! If students complete projects early, additional projects will be available to fill their time.
June 21 – 25 Projects include but not limited to: hand stitching a felt watermelon plushie key ring fob, a 3-D pinwheel quilt block 4th of July pillow, and summer shorts. Patterns provided. Students will need to bring fabric for summer shorts.
July 12 – 16 Projects include but not limited to: hand stitching a sea turtle plushie, camping pillowcase, and appliqué zipper pouch. Students will need to bring fabric for pillowcase.
Space is limited to 4 students. Current CDC and Idaho Covid protocol will be followed for teachers and students.
