This pattern was designed with the on-the-go minimalist in mind. I designed this hands-free, lightweight purse to carry only my essentials to the county fair and quilt shows. At the time there were no simple patterns on the market to fit my needs.
Skill Level – Advanced Beginner – Intermediate
Comfortable with beginning patterns and ready for something more sophisticated. Easy read instructions with illustrations. I highly recommend you read through the pattern instructions before you begin. It will help with understanding the construction process.
MULTIPLE POCKETS allow for organization and easy access.
• Center in and out pocket allows easy access to your cell phone; with the additional security of the
button tab for when your phone is not in use.
• Pleated back pocket gives additional room for bulky items like keys or sunglasses.
• Secure zipper pouch holds your id and credit cards.
• Behind the zipper pouch is an additional pocket to hold business cards or store perk cards.
If you have always wanted to try to make a purse this is the pattern for you. It was designed as an introduction to purse sewing basics. Read through the entire pattern first to get the feel for the construction steps. I teach youth sewing classes and wanted to teach them something a little more sophisticated. Eight pages of easy to follow instructions and computer-generated black and white illustrations will guide you to success.
